Karaoke singer shot in head for singing the wrong song in Restaurant

TEXAS -- A man was killed at a Mexican restaurant in the early hours of this morning after performing an unpopular karaoke song.

He sang 'Somos Mas Americanos' which means ‘We are more American’ before being shot to death by a fellow patron who did not like his choice of song.

Shortly before he finished the song an argument broke out among a group of men.

The shooter then fled the restaurant with several friends and made off in a red Chevrolet pickup truck. Two women left in a green Nissan Pathfinder.

Houston Police Department confirmed officers had been sent to the Ostioneria Mazatlan seafood restaurant at the 6400 block, Sandspoint around 2.30 am, after it had closed for the night.
